Midas completed a productive 4 month stand-alone project on behalf of Avon Cosmetics European HQ in UK, in respect of a review of sourcing of non-cosmetic products from Turkey as a market-proximate solution to European sales. Potential products resulting were in sectors as diverse as household textiles, jewellery, porcelain, glass, and fashion accessories. The project included the establishment of review strategy, leading to a desk top analysis, and finally a country wide tour of facilities of potential suppliers with consequential management of the commercial processes in support of the purchasing process.

At the invitation of the British Consulate in Istanbul, Mike Freedman gave a presentation to the visiting “International Business Wales” mission on the subject “Business in Turkey, a Personal View”.
The meeting was attended by The Consul General Ms Barbara Hay and Mr Yani Paisios (Trade and Investment Manager) and Welsh businesses operating in a wide area of interests from education, through automotive, sales to the shipbuilding sector and electrical components to the military.
